Fashion Week Highlights

With New York fashion week coming to a close today, I wanted to recap a few of my favorite moments from this year. I have never been so thankful for social media, as I have been living vicariously through those who actually got to attend. There were so many stunning designs from all of the collections, but here’s what made the top of my chart. These looks have me so excited to see what spring 2015 trends will look like.

tadashi shoji1tadashi shoji2Tadashi Shoji was hands down, my favorite show of the season. I would have taken one of everything that came down the runway, and then some. I loved the lace detailing on absolutely everything, the soft color palate, and the overall femininity of the collection. Every piece was perfection – from the lace outerwear to crop tops and maxi dresses, they all had such a classic elegance that literally took my breath away.

moniquelhuilier1monique lhuillier2Monique Lhuillier stole my heart with her pastel playfulness and iridescent tones. Everything shimmered or sparkled just enough to make it feel extra special. The gorgeous soft blue and pink tones will definitely be making it into my closet this coming spring. And who could overlook the surprise ending of her show? If you haven’t seen it, you can watch it here – it was one of the most magical moments on a runway.

aliceandolivia2aliceandolivia1Alice + Olivia’s collection was so fresh and sophisticated, while still keeping a slightly youthful feel. Everything was vibrant, and just looking through the collection made me feel a little more alive. Each piece was so stunning and unique, that I could easily see myself slipping into them, no adjustments needed, and ready to go frolic around town.

After seeing Kate Spade’s collection for spring, I feel inspired to head to my garden, plant some pansies, and have a tea party. Each piece was so lovely and fun. Bows were bigger and prints more powerful than ever – it certainly is one of my favorite lines of hers yet. From that beautiful shade of green, to contrasting collars and crop tops, everything about her collection was absolutely stunning, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it next year.
