Fruit Infused Water


I admittedly don’t drink enough water throughout the day. I barely make my way through one bottle of water, let alone six to eight glasses. I realized that if my water tasted slightly more exciting, I would probably have a less difficult time. Instead of purchasing packets of flavor to mix into my water, I decided to go old-school, and make my own fruit water. I tried three different variations – each having their own unique flavor, but all equally refreshing. I made cucumber + lemon water, which is great for first thing in the morning to hydrate and wake up your senses (this one reminds me of the water served in spas). The watermelon + rosemary is perfect for lunchtime or a summer picnic – it’s incredibly fresh and light. The pear, kiwi + lime is visually my favorite, and the combination of the pear and kiwi with the lime keeps it fruity, but not tasting too citrusy.

Cucumber + Lemon Water

1 cucumber, sliced

2 lemons, sliced

Combine in pitcher (squeeze juices out slightly as you put in). Add water and ice if desired.

Watermelon + Rosemary Water

Watermelon, cubed

3 rosemary sprigs

Combine ingredients in pitcher. If using pre-cut watermelon, pour some of the watermelon juice in with fruit. Add water and ice if desired.

Pear, Kiwi, + Lime Water

1 pear, sliced

2 kiwis, sliced

1 lime, sliced

Comine all ingredients in pitcher (squeeze out juices slightly). Add water and ice if desired.
